Baker's Butterfly
Last month I asked Baker Watson at Fish and Frog - Turtle and Blog if I could use some of his photos as reference photos for art. I just completed the first one, pastel, 9x12, on Canson paper. I call it "Simple Beauty". If you would like to view the original photo you can find it Here.
Hi Tammy!...At Bakers' suggestion, I just had to come visit you and view your painting. I'm so glad that I did. Excellant capturing of Bakers' Butterfly! I just started painting myself this past year..mostly full moon pond scenes snd waterfalls...so I can appreciate all the effort you've put into this painting...it's simply beautiful!
Hi Tammy...me again! I went to your archives to check your other artwork out. I tried that other blog, couldn't get to it...did I just type in the wrong address?...or did you delete that blog?
Nice work, Tammy! If not because of Baker's post, I hardly get a chance to view such wonderful piece of art. I only hope I could really see it myself though. Baker & your blog really inspire me to take more nice snapshots in future.. guess I really need to get a better gadget for it. Keep up the good work.
Tammy, that is a beautiful painting. Well done! Baker's photo's are so inspiring and he is such a talented photographer!! Your painting is just gorgeous!

I'm an artist, or at least I like to believe that I am. I work as a customer service manager for a major retail company.
I like who I am and where I am in my life now.
